I took this pic at the Freibierquelle (free beer source). The Freibierquelle is located northwest of St. Andreasberg in the forest, but not too far from the outskirts. The spring feeds the Sperrlutter with fresh water. One or two hikers are also happy about the opportunity to quench their thirst.
@17christiana Oooh! I was seriously contemplating doing a vacation in Sankt Andreasberg this summer, and I have to check this out!
There is a local legend of a "green iron pig with a shrub growing out of its back", and now I suspect the two may be linked.

@17christiana I'm not surprised - it's pretty obscure, and you'd have to obsessively read old folk tale collection like I do to stumble across it.
(The subsequent tale about the "Town Hall Cat" is also a hoot...)
