He noted that wave attacks with massive casualties are typical for Russians, similar to North Koreans. "This is a war of attrition, just like in World War II."
@noelreports „causalities 5:1“ … „400.000 Russians dead“ … „150.000 Ukrainians dead“… how good is he at math?
@flohlaus @noelreports depends on the numbers you use to do the calculations...
@flohlaus @noelreports Casualties are more than just dead. Wounded, PTSD, otherwise ill...
@flohlaus @noelreports Easy. You're wrong about 150.000 Ukrainians dead. ( He could be talking about Russian losses specific to the battles in Kursk, but didn't explain the details.)
Zelensky says 43K Ukrainians have died, though that appears to be strictly those Ukrainians who serve in the armed forces. WIA losses are closer, but the Russians still have the most by far.
As for Ukrainian civilians, obviously many have died, but they shouldn't count in comparisons of losses between armies.
@KraftTea @noelreports it’s his numbers, not mine.
@flohlaus @noelreports Gen. Kellogg is not the smartest or most experienced general out there. He is, however, VERY Republican.
From what I can tell, his experience basically relates to rampant corruption and widespread failure in rebuilding Iraq, various failures in Vietnam, and his troops shooting up / setting a large Chinese restaurant on fire in Panama, while its numerous employees were sleeping upstairs.
Various reports from his time in Panama peg him as an ungifted, old school ideologue.
