I spent the last week rendering videos from large NetCDF files. This is one of the results.
NO2 concentrations on two consecutive winter days in Berlin, caused by #car #traffic simulated with #matsim
As the results of the #palm simulation were too big to download, I used #R to read the simulated concentrations time slice by time slice and rendered tile plots using #ggplot2. Afterward, I used #ffmpeg to combine all the plots into a movie.
The simulation also includes 2 detailed nests, where the resolution of the #palm #emission #simulation is 2m per raster tile.
In the video we have one of the nests, which covers 2.5x2.5km in Berlin Charlottenburg
