I appreciate being able to come online and see pictures of nature from all over the world. I REALLY appreciate how many people use alt text - it's so easy to translate and quickly find out more about what I'm seeing. Home trees that have been moving, living with me for decades. Sit within a cycle that sits with an order, new leaves, new colour, fallen blossom, and the constant visits of nature.

Economic growth does not afford life, it affords death. A #wellbeingeconomy affords, heart, connection, meaning and life. Why not sit with life?

Smattered with wet pink cherry blossom. Adorned with potted trees, and esplanades fruit trees. A sage green slated wooden back fence. A slabbed patio open room, adorned with in door objects, a bee hotel that looks like a dart board. A small shed with windows looks over it, a large price of drift wood sits over it, it mimics the stag’s antlers a rusted shortbread tin lid, hung like a picture. Beyond the fence is the wild cherry tree, my backstop, my life’s cycle.

I've since learned you can disable this feature completely if you wanted to, making this comment even more silly.

As you can see, Someone doesn't like the new alt text warning on Mastodon!

Go disable it then. If you don't disable this feature, I have absolutely zero sympathy for you! You can turn off a reminder you find annoying. I can't turn off my blindness. cry me a fucking river.

Disable the reminder if you can't take it. In the meantime, just to make the ableds mad, maybe we should disable images across all instances so people need to rely on the alt text to know what image isn't showing.

Actually, if your instance has images disabled completely, let me know! I'd love to direct people to you! I guess that could be an issue if people want to upload audio, since I think Mastodon treats all media types the same, but let me know! It would be an interesting list of instances. In the meantime,
