It appears #GreenLine T had an accident near Lechmere station toward Somerville. We saw several ambulances passed by during the evening walk which just happened to be in the same area as the incident. Now helicopters are noisily circling above CambMA. Hope there were no serious injuries.

Oof. The #MBTA had the bid opening for the #GreenLine Symphony accessibility project. The engineer's estimate was $70m, and it came in at $120m with only two bidders (both repeat players: Barletta and Judlau).
The T publishes a "bid comparison" but it's totally useless because nearly all of the value of the project is obscured behind a single line item, which was expected to be $60m and the apparent low bid, from Barletta, came in at $110m. That's more than 80% overrun!
