Woke ist, wer Autos und Flugzeuge als Fortbewegungsmittel ablehnt, wer sich der Fortpflanzung verweigert und Amazon boykottiert.

Nicht woke ist, wer dem antiquierten Schönheitsideal 90–60–90 nachhängt, wer die zum Schweizer Kulturgut gehörenden, aber vor rassistischen Anspielungen strotzenden Dialektaufnahmen des Kasperletheaters hört und Ausstellungen von Balthus besucht.

#GretaThunberg und #lukasbarfuss sind woke. Prince Andrew und Peter Handke sind es nicht. Aber wer bestimmt eigentlich darüber? Es gibt keinen kodifizierten Kriterienkatalog der Wokeness, keine Autorität, die besagt, was akzeptabel ist und was nicht.

Das trifft auch auf mich zu.

So, as a very white-looking AFAB person (yes, ugh, but that's not who I am) of a certain age, I know I have privilege just because of that. But as someone who is #ActuallyAutistic and very mouthy (#ODD), that doesn't mean I can get away with shit. My whole life, I've come close to being arrested, but never have been. The fact that I have #Claustrophobia and #PTSD (from being locked in a closet by a Nun) means that I probably would not do well incarcerated. Or at least I'd have to mask for what would seem like an eternity. I honestly don't know how #GretaThunberg could tolerate incarceration, but the fact that she has, and is still very VOCAL, means she is a total #BadAss who is my HERO!
