Started #Halo Infinite, seems alright so far (campaign).

Didn't play 5 or Halo Wars 2, I assume The Banished are introduced/explained in one of those?
After the last epilogue scene, 343 Industries left a message that the end of Halo 4 was only the beginning for them and they thank players for going on this journey. I found that very powerful, too, wanting to become a game developer myself and knowing of the massive struggle the Halo series brought onto the developers. It's great to see they were proud of their game and looking forward to more.

Finished Halo 4. I played 2, 3 and 4 in this order. 4 was definitely the one with the least technical problems, which massively increased the amount of fun I had, especially because the music worked. And damn, the music IS great. Story however was the most confusing, though the game raises a couple interesting questions in the last mission and epilogue. I'm not sure what I think of the whole Cortana plot though. The rather philosophical ending is the best part of it.

Lots of gaming on the weekend. Continued #Halo 4 with a friend and I'm having a lot more fun than in Halo 2 and 3. The flaws haven't really been fixed but I have given up on the story entirely so now it's just a fun "cool guns yeah!!" game. :D
I've also continued #Trine 3 with another friend. It's the 3D one and we still have mixed feelings about it. It just has so many bugs and glitches. We are convinced though that it could have been great since once you get used to the new ...1/2

#HaloTV Is good go watch it, that's my review. Shame it's canceled, but that's modern TV.
If you're super duper skeptical or turn out not to like it, just watch the first and last episode of both seasons tbh, that's where the most Halo is condensed.
Halsey is impressively hatable though, makes most of the "Talking" bits worth it.
Is Kwan from the books? Odd use of time, not my fav.

Halo activity has been on and off half of the day – now with both parhelia / left and right sundog.

This is kind of +/-, and the TV show remembers this is a thing, but in the games the marines shit their pants when they see you. You're hope. You're relief. It's like seeing an angel.
There's some propaganda of the Chief in the show and they do point out that this is the case, but you really never see the chief being a sight for sore eyes like that in the show, half the time ONI is telling the troops to capture him, other half there's just no troops around.
What a journey for the #halo series. The expanded universe started with a cheap cover with MC's suit copied straight from the game and pasted a few times (and we loved it) and now it's a (canceled) movie-budget TV show we're all mad at for not copy-pasting the suit enough
Also I don't like how the marines are almost glossed over. They're physically there but there's very little dialog or personality. In the games they're like half the dialog.
No Johnson is a big omission, no Foe Hammer either. Just ONI shitheads and UNSC brass, which includes Keyes now, whatever. At least he still has his pipe.
I think what I and a lot of fans would have enjoyed more is a NEW, CANON story, kind of like how Strange New Worlds is handled for Star Trek vs how Kelvinverse did things.
Didn't deserve to be canceled though. Do watch IMO. If you're THAT skeptical, at least watch the first and last episodes of both seasons. If you know enough to bitch about the canon, you can fill in most of what happens between.
