Edit: Ich möchte einen neuen Ofen zum #Glasperlendrehen und #Schmieden bauen. Es soll einer nach antikem römischen Vorbild werden. Die hatten einen langen Windkanal und eine Brennkammer mit Düse.

Für frei aufgebaute, tragende Gewölbe-Konstruktionen braucht der #Lehm eine krümelige Konsistenz. Trotzdem muss er klebrig sein. Es ist eine #Kunst.

Der Beginn eines Luftschachtes aus Lehm. Man erkennt eine Art Ziegelstruktur aus Lehmwülsten. Der Eingang ist bereits überwölbt.

Frage an #Archäologie #Museum #Verein #LivingHistory #Glasperlen #ExperimentelleArchäologie #Römer #Eisenzeit #Wikinger #Germanen #Völkerwanderungszeit #Geschichte ich habe hier einen #Lehmofen zum #Glasperlendrehen, der mindestens 100 mal lief und nun auseinanderfällt. Die Innenseite ist verglast, u.a. von den im #Lehm eingelagerten #Silikate|n. Bevor ich ihn liebevoll restauriere und weiterverwende: Hat vielleicht jemand Interesse daran für Forschungszwecke, als museales Exponat etc.?

Eine etwa 30 cm hohe Lehmesse steht auf nassem Boden. Der dicke Korpus um das Rohr herum ist von innen verglast, dann folgt eine rotorange Verziegelung, die nach außen hin dunkler abfällt.

REVISIT ~ earth:work
How can the materials we choose and how we develop them define and influence care and maintenance in architecture?

By exploring the process and potential of rammed earth as a spatial element and its relation to the human body we wanted to investigate how the action of care can be continuously applied in the context of the domestic interior.

We initiated the process by unfolding the different domains of care. We investigated care in terms of the tectonic, practical and phenomenological aspect through the act of building to the finished object with an intent of continuous care and maintenance throughout the objects lifetime.

This is a visual montage of the different steps and explorations throughout the process of creating two spatial sections of a interior wall. And developing a maintenance scheme as an act of radical care.

earth:work was a collaborative project developed together with Emilie Schleppegrel, Hedda Klar and Constantin Scholz.

The project have had a continuous point of departure in soil both at a material, social and environmental level. I've explored the human-soil relations through the act of building and soil as a mediator between nature-culture.

The interior is closed of to create a space for immersion and learning whereas the exterior and the sorrounding environment create intimate exploration zones which are less programmatic and more likely to be inhabited and appropriated by its users.

Initial spatial fragments developed for the observatory in Remiseparken.

The project was part of my Master's at The Royal Danish Academy. I developed a spatial program with a point of departure in soil as a catalyst for exploring and learning in and within nature.

The spatial fragments consists of 1:20 models in rammed earth and wood to test certain spatial situations and the tectonic language when working with soil as a structural material.

- Die Farbe passt zur Partei.
- Die Nachteile vom Bauen mit Stroh sind fast nur mangelnde #Standardisierung und teure #Bürokratie.

Das wär mal ein Top-Projekt für #Innovation und #Technologieoffenheit im #Bausektor. Eventuell baut ihr dazu auch eine App, mit der sich Strohhäuser planen und die Vorteile direkt anzeigen lassen... #Bürokratieabbau #Digitalisierung #Architektur
