Wonderful weather today so I did a 60km tour today. Lots of cyclists out on the roads too. What I couldn't understand was why there were more close overtakes than usual. One minivan did a reckless overtake and nearly collided with incoming traffic. I was riding almost literally on the white line (Fahrbahnbegrenzung). Some also went over speed limits 'innerorts' (within municipal borders) to overtake me. The roads with frequent school children have speed signs that tell you how fast you are going and so many are 5-10kmph above the limit.

I was also very diligent with hand signals and left turns, for the most part, were incident free, as they should be, but a car honked a small ditty from a while away. Not sure if it was directed at me but confused to say the least.

Again, these are popular cycling roads so I don't get the aggression. Literally 'beware of cyclists' signs everywhere. Not sure if my blinking rear light is triggering these drivers or the fact that I am femme.

There are of course a lot of courteous drivers who pass when it's comfortable for both of us, but I just noticed more aggression today than a year before.
