#StandingStoneSunday, I'm doing my first 100km #bike ride for a couple of years on Sunday and after a #Cycle of that length I'll be snoozing not tooting on Sunday evening and I've got grandchildren on Saturday so here's an early stone circle.

White Moor Stone: 150 metres southeast of White Moor Stone circle stands this stone, which is more than 5 feet in height, and has been adapted as a parish boundary stone, with its parish marks cut into it. #StandingStoneSunday This stone is almost certainly much older than just a boundary stone, and is likely to be associated in some way with the circle. 
#StandingStoneSunday The Millennium Stone at Sorel Point on Jersey, one of 12 erected across the island in 1999. In the background of the 1st photo are the Paternosters. Ever since a shipwreck on these rocks many years ago it is said that on stormy nights the cries of drowned children can be heard.

The details in the stonework have worn down so Jesus does look more like a jelly baby.
Cycling on #Bute this Thursday and came across the Kingarth Standing Stones which had previously been hidden by forestry plantation. Two are made of the local #Devonian conglomerate, the third looks like a sandstone. One of the conglomerate stones is an amazing bulbous shape. Erected & then shaped? Who knows?

Meayll Circle, Rhullick-y-lagg-shliggagh, on Manx lies near to the summit of Meayll Hill and has evidence from Neolithic to Medieval times. It is a chambered cairn, over one thousand years old. It has legends of haunting and Viking burials attached to it. #StandingStoneSunday

We found a sand pit with different coloured sand, so we could make multicoloured marblecake like sand castles.
Is #SandcastleSunday a hashtag? If not, perhaps #StandingStoneSunday is ok, if you consider sand castles to be very, very immature standing stones? (Only need a few more millions of years to become stone, again.)

The ornately carved Menir 3 of the Vilarinha alignment (in the Algarve) is in the Silves Museum for preservation. There's an imposter standing in for it on locale!
