Short pause in the winter scenes, a couple of #green views from #june 01 #Summer #foliage
This is Betula pumila Swamp birch or Dwarf Birch it's a #wetland species here, growing in semi open areas among willows etc- they are shrubby/bush multi-stemmed plants, I haven't seen them more than a few metres tall, they might be able to get taller in places free of moose/cows/deer, but still not one of the big #tree #birch #BorealForest #Alberta #Canada #NativePlants #nature

see other alt- close view of another stem, just an upright bit with one cluster of several leaves emerging near the centre- not fully developed, other clusters on the same stem just partly visible at top and bottom. The sun is hitting these leaves, backlighting one to a glowing bright green. The background is blurred, partly shady with more green leaves and light between them being reduced by the camera lens to many overlapping glowing green and light orbs, mostly around right centre of the image.

The leaves are roughly oval but not all fully extended, and with finely toothed edges. It's early in the season and they are bright fresh green with a few rays of sun partly back-=lighting some of the leaves against a shady backdrop.
