Ah, yes, another "revolutionary" build tool—because #Java, #Scala, and #Kotlin #developers were desperately lacking in build systems. 🛠️ Apparently, #Mill is the ultimate solution... to a problem no one knew existed. But hey, at least you can now write more #configuration files instead of code! 📜💤

🍎 App developers face an unfair choice: Use only Apple payments (which millions of users can access in just two clicks) or offer a different payment method. But not both.

👀 With so many customers already tied to Apple’s payment system, most developers can’t afford to say no.

📌 Why can’t #developers choose what to offer?

Hey #FediHire , meet @Dominicd3213

He's an embedded systems and #fullstack #developer who loves making machines move and websites work. By day, he wires up #Robots with ROS 2, #arduino and LIDAR; by night, he wrangles #react #TypeScript and #MongoDB into sleek, responsive interfaces. Built #AI chat tools, and co-founded a trading platform.

He lives where code meets circuits, and believes great tech should be powerful and weird.

Anyone need a bright young guy like this?

It is still pretty insane we need a giant mega corp like #Epic Games to finally slash down #Apple with their predatory percentages on each and every transaction

I understand it costs a lot of money to host all the apps and maintain the store but uh.. we developers already pay Apple 100 euro per years to have access to their #developers part alone

Epic isn't the best company but so far they did cut down Apple with restrictions and they do give out a "free" game engine (free earn to 1mil)

Furthermore I'd also say that #developers in general do not consider it their responsibility to take care of #backups and instead consider this a responsibility of the #sysadmin / end-user.

Therefore (especially they wouldn't have to do anything for it on literally all other platforms) at least all "non native android developers" will not even think about this possibility at all (therefore that framework/template default goes unnoticed and unchanged).
