"In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret, a master ring, to control all others. And into this ring he poured all his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One ring to rule them all."

All shot using real lighting, figures and miniature sets.

Middle Earth Mural / Triptych, Barbara Remington

Similar source to the other one but in a different style. Seems cute and colorful but also a little weird, a little spooky. The tree on the left is twisted in a weird way, and moving to the right things get stranger and more monstrous. But she kept a storybook style, it seems like you wouldn't get nightmares if you saw it at age six.😆 I was a kid that read LOTR.

#TTRPG idea I’ll probably never realize: A campaign set in #MiddleEarth, following the tracklist of #BlindGuardian’s 'Nightfall in Middle-Earth"

Having the PCs take part in those big events themselves wouldn’t really work. Instead, maybe the heroes, in the Third Age, collect Elven songs and stories that match the album’s songs—perhaps for Bilbo’s collection? Along the way, they experience events that reflect those themes or visit places tied to them.

What are ents made of? Flesh and bone, or of wood?

I've been discussing this with @AdamStuartSmith and we don't know whether they are animals that LOOK like trees — like stick insects — or trees that are alive, sentient and motile.

It occurred to me that maybe we have some proper Tolkien scholars who know a definitive answer, maybe from a footnote in History of Middle-earth, or even from unpublished correspondence.

(Please boost for coverage.)

Contrary to the reviews, the stat lines in Characters are serviceable for most. The mages are underspecified (what lists‽), and the Levels for a few are nuts.

RoleMaster Levels are 3x D&D scale, so I mostly think these are fine, BUT. Gimli should be 15 or so, Lego-lass 15-21 not 28 WTF! LoME1 & 3 say Lvl 8 for both, that's too low.

I'd probably make the Cave Troll Level 21, he's physically & skill superior to any of the fighters.
