Certainly a highlight among the more recent episodes of BetaCodex LIVE: A conversation on #OpenSpaceBeta Patterns with special guest @silkehermann.

🌏 In this episode, Silke reports on findings from a string of full-fledged Beta transformations between 2019 and 2024, during which she performed the role of #MasterOfCeremonies. The findings are documented in the 21st BetaCodex Network research paper of the same name.

Improvement (a.k.a. optimizing a system) is great and it’s of vital importance. But sometimes optimization does not suffice. Because the world is changing, and institutions must keep up. In such contexts or situations, you need to overcome the system. Now, #OvercomingASysten (a.k.a. transformation) works fundamentally different than optimization of a system.
It is here that #OpenSpaceBeta comes in very handy.

And so we keep doing #OpenSpaceBeta-based transformations with companies, within just 90 days, or within 180 days, depending on how you count. At the same time, others still like to believe such results are impossible to obtain. They keep repeating that such transformation "will take many years, maybe decades", or that lengthy and risky "experimentation" is required.

They could not be more mistaken.

Dabbling with #experiments will never get you to any serious results, ever. It cannot.
#OpenSpaceBeta (or "really really doing") will get you to very serious results within months. Guaranteed.

The choice should be obvious. And, quite frankly, I cannot fathom why anyone in her/his right mind would choose dabbling a.k.a. experimenting.

This June, my friend Rijon and I started the #BetaCodex podcast "BetaCodex LIVE". By now, we did 23 episodes together, which usually take around 40 minutes - with notable exceptions. We covered a great deal of topics - from transformation with #OpenSpaceBeta to research around #CellStructureDesign to useful distinctions, such as the one between "Dissent and Resistance" (covered in our latest episode).
