#Radioactive #Uranium Trucks -- Slick Politicians and Easy-Chair Journalists
Endanger Public

Article by #BrendaNorrell, Censored News, April 17, 2025

"The copy and paste journalists, and the slick politicians doing self-promotion selfies on social media, don't want the public to know the facts.

"This is #PinyonPlainUraniumMine in the #GrandCanyon, poisoning the air, land and water in the homeland of the #Havasupai.

"The #UraniumMine is spewing out #RadioactiveDust for the world travelers who love this place, poisoning traditional medicine plants, and endangering the aquifer for future generations.

"#Navajo President #BuuNygren secretly did a deal with the owners, #EnergyFuels, to bring radioactive #uranium ore trucks through the #NavajoNation, without the #NavajoNationCouncil's knowledge.

"This agreement for radioactive trucks, shown here [at the link below], is an extreme danger for everyone on the transport route -- #Havasupai, #Paiute, #Dine', #Hopi, #Ute, and the residents of #FlagstaffAZ.

"Remote Native communities have no way to deal with radioactive spills.

"The radioactive trucks are covered only with tarps and dump their loads in the #WhiteMesaUte community in southeastern #Utah."

“The nature of the new Israeli Uranium bombs: Evidence from Beirut”

by Christopher Busby in Al Mayadeen English

“Dr. Chris Busby presents evidence that Israel used a Uranium-based bomb in the 2024 Beirut attack that assassinated Hezbollah Sec Gen Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, revealing airborne radioactive particles that pose long-term public health risks”

There is indeed a new weapon out there; enriched Uranium does not exist in nature: it is man-made. (Al Mayadeen English; Illustrated by Batoul Chamas)

Today in Labor History March 28, 1979: Three Mile Island (TMI) nuclear power plant, in Pennsylvania, had a level-5 partial meltdown, the worst nuclear power accident in U.S. history, and one of the worst in the world, prior to Chernobyl. TMI operators had not been adequately trained to handle the type of malfunction that led to the meltdown and, consequently, a delay in mitigation efforts. Clean-up began in 1993, at a cost of $2 billion in today’s dollars. Officials concluded that the release of radioactive material from the plant did not raise exposure levels of nearby residents to a level that would increase cancer cases by even one additional case. However, anti-nuclear groups hired their own independent investigators who found that radiation levels in the area were significantly elevated. A peer-reviewed study by Dr. Steven Wing found a significant increase in cancers from 1979-1985 among people living within ten miles of TMI. And in 2009, Dr. Wing said that the amount of radiation released during the accident was likely "thousands of times greater" than the NRC's estimates.

In 2024, Bill Gates obtained exclusive rights to the “carbon-free” energy from TMI, once it reopens, to power his Artificial Intelligence farms, starting in 2028. Other Tech Barons are also looking to exploit nuclear power for their energy-hungry AI farms. Data centers currently account for about 1 to 1.5 percent of global electricity use. NVIDIA will be shipping out over 1.5 million AI server units per year by 2027. These servers, alone, would consume at over 85.4 terawatt-hours of electricity annually, more than many small countries use in a year. Yet, the U.S. still has no permanent radioactive waste storage facilities. As of 2023, the U.S. had roughly 88,000 metric tons of spent nuclear fuel from commercial reactors, and all of this is stranded at the reactor sites. Experts expect this number to grow by 2,000 metric tons each year.

放射性黃色 (二)

OK, this is another version from the previous one posted here few days ago (back on Thursday). In this version, some more details are discernible as I've darkened some areas. With this shot, this macro series (which was shot on February 8th) is over. I still have some more to come, and I'm working already on some more shots to the best of my ability. I want to try more night long exposure in the neighborhood (can't go far), but things aren't going smooth at the moment (and people probably aren't in friendly term with someone walking with a camera alone after midnight shooting around their homes). Anyway, we'll see what can be done in this regard.

Today in Labor History March 1, 1954: The U.S. detonated Castle Bravo, a 15-megaton hydrogen bomb on Bikini Atoll. It caused the worst radioactive contamination ever by the U.S. However, this occurred after years of nuclear testing and contamination of the islands and waters around them. The U.S. detonated 23 nuclear devices on the islands from 1946 to 1958. They blew up the bombs on the reef, in the sea, in the air and underwater. They relocated islanders several times, each time to supposedly safe islands. But they neglected to provide sufficient food and water, causing starvation. When the islanders tried to catch fish to eat, or grow their own crops, they were so contaminated from radioactive fallout, that it poisoned all who ate it. Women started having miscarriages and giving birth to babies with abnormalities. To this day, it is still too contaminated for inhabitants and their descendants to return. A trust fund that had been set up to help support the survivors ran out of funds in the late 2010s.

放射性黃色 (radioactive yellow);

It might hurt your eyes, so I'm sorry for this. It's just an experiment in editing this shot of the mustard flower. By this I'm reaching the end of this series, but actually I still have one more to post (hopefully by next Sunday), which is actually the 2nd version of this one,but less radiant!

#Havasupai Elder #DiannaUqualla: #UraniumMining #Contamination is Here, Hold on to Your Ancestral Ways

"Stay strong, no matter what the world throws at us, we survive."

By #BrendaNorrell, #CensoredNews, Feb. 24, 2025

TUBA CITY, #NavajoNation -- "Havasupai Dianna Uqualla said that she brought sad news, that the contamination from the #PinyonPlain #UraniumMine is already here, and has contaminated the air and the soil. Uqualla asked for the people to rely on their prayers and ancestral ways to guide them.

"Uqualla, traditional practitioner who served as the council's vice chairwoman, spoke at the #AwarenessWalk here on Saturday, as Native people from the region gathered to shut down Pinyon Plain uranium mine, and stop the #radioactive haul trucks from the #GrandCanyon to the #UraniumMill in the #WhiteMesaUte community in #Utah.

"Uqualla said Havasupai tested the soil and air and found contamination. 'There are people that hunt, people that gather medicine, they told us we can't go there anymore, until we stop them, but they are still contaminating.'

"Havasupai never said 'Yes' to this #UraniumMining.

"The tarps are not sufficient that are covering the trucks and there are no warnings to the people."

Today in Labor History February 18, 1955: The U.S. launched Operation Teapot at the Nevada Nuclear Test Site. Teapot included 14 nuclear bomb tests. Wasp was the first, detonated on February 18. It had a yield of 1.2 kilotons. During shot Wasp, ground forces participated in Exercise Desert Rock VI. This included an armored task force moving to within 3,000 ft of ground zero, while the mushroom cloud was still growing. From 1945 through 1962, the U.S. conducted 230 atmospheric nuclear weapons tests, with approximately 235,000 military personnel participating. Most were enlisted men, from the navy. However, millions of people were exposed to the fallout from U.S. nuclear weapons tests in the southwest of the U.S. and the Marshall Islands. University of Arizona economist Keith Meyers estimates that radioactive fallout was responsible for 340,000 to 690,000 American deaths from 1951 to 1973.

#Havasupai Tribe Deeply Disappointed in #NavajoNation for Failing to Consult Havasupai on #Radioactive Hauling

"Shame on Energy Fuels Resources and those who were not brave enough to do what is right and necessary." -- Havasupai Tribe.

By Brenda Norrell, Censored News, Feb. 14, 2025

"The Havasupai Tribe said the Navajo Nation has disregarded the aboriginal people who live on the land, and failed to consult them before entering into a dangerous agreement for #radioactive #uranium hauling. There are two trucks now each weekday, traveling at high rates of speed, each carrying 24 tons of radioactive matter that is only covered with tie-down tarps from the Grand Canyon to the #UraniumMill in Utah.

"Havsuw' Baaja, Havasupai, are Guardians of the #GrandCanyon and have opposed #UraniumMining since time immemorial to protect their land and water for future generations, the Havasupai Tribe said today.

"We are deeply disappointed in #EnergyFuels Resources, Inc., and the Navajo Nation for not including us in their discussions that ultimately led to the dangerous decision to allow hauling of radioactive material across our aboriginal lands," the Havasupai Tribe said.

"The Navajo Tribe is not the only tribe or community affected by this activity."
"Our culture and traditions originate here and are knit together with who we are as individual tribal members and as a tribe."
