Just the one thing, but what a thing it is - a Fujitsu FM77-AV. Fujitsu’s fairly major bump to its 7x line before the transition to the x86 FM Towns line #RetroComputing

#VCFe #VCFeHistory #VCFe15.0 #canon #vintagecomputing #retrocomputing

@vga256 The Cisco 2500 is a mighty box for its time, and for sure it can route faster than a LC475 – if you’re running Mac OS on the Mac and not some BSD.
But in terms of raw CPU performance, the LC’s 68040/25 runs circles around an 68030/25, it is 2-3 times faster due to the large 8 KB L1 cache and optimizations.

280x192 pixels is both not a lot of pixels when you want to add details and half shadowing both a lot of pixels when you redo all of them manually.

today's archival/software preservation work -
i noticed that PCBoard BBS software's wikipedia article mentioned something kinda weird - that just before clark development went bankrupt in 1997, it was building a server called MetaWorlds... an attempt at bridging the ansi-based BBS with the WWW.
sadly, the software never made it out of beta, and was nowhere to be found.. until today it seems! i managed to dig it out of the glorious ibm wgam-wbiz collection, and i've uploaded a copy to IA:
https://archive.org/details/metaworlds_beta
i honestly don't really understand what MetaWorlds does, so i'm hoping a PCBoard wiz manages to get it talking to their pcb instance, and lets us know how it all works.
#VCFEast2025 Day 3 photo drop continues! Glad to see that no #VintageMac s were harmed while taking these photos.

I need a way to extract files from DiskCopy 6 images. If I could convert to raw or DC4.2 that would work, or just extract the files. There seems to be no way to do this.
I don't want to but I could script and fire up an emulator to convert them, which would take way too much time as I'm processing 100k files.
Also yes I'm handling resources as apple double format.

@pagetable Ich erinnere mich! Ich habe das Heft damals gekauft....
