Since I've read some very confused opinions, here it goes again:
A thread about #Zionism and how it feeds from #Antisemitism.
Jews in Europe (not so much in North Africa or Western Asia) suffered from persecution and discrimination. This was particularly bad in Ester Europe, where the Russian Tsardom would scapegoat the Jews, allowing for terrible Pogroms, mass riots where Jewish property was destroyed and Jews murdered or abused.

#Zionism as such has been a cinvenient thing for #Germany. For the German left and for the German right. It was convenient to deflect from any actually substantial claims of the #Shoah survivors towards Germany. A potential claim could have been a jewish state on German ground after WW2 or other /really/ painful wiedergutmachung (remediation).
It was easier and more convenient to let the Zionists do their thing, have most of surviving Jews out of Germany (for not having to look their faces any more that mirror back the German guilt), let the Zionists rob land from some brown people, support them with it, and call this 'staatsraison' (national interest) in the best interest of the Jewish people. Fuck Germany.
