Matt Hodgkinson<p>Sean Carroll was kind in letting Annaka Harris present her ideas on consciousness, and gently querying them. I think he was too kind. She was particularly unconvincing in explaining the leap from split brain studies and neurological illusions to everything potentially being conscious. To me it removes meaning from "conscious".<br><a href="https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=5_-dKOySfe8fomzF&v=DDNF0vZafio" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">m.youtube.com/watch?si=5_-dKOy</span><span class="invisible">Sfe8fomzF&v=DDNF0vZafio</span></a><br>🧵<br><a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/SeanCarroll" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SeanCarroll</span></a> <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/Consciousness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Consciousness</span></a> <a href="https://scicomm.xyz/tags/AnnakaHarris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnnakaHarris</span></a></p>
