It’s a picturesque village in North Wales, designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1973. His vision was to create a beautiful village that blended naturally with the landscape — a kind of utopian fantasy town — and it really feels like stepping into another world. It overlooks the Dwyryd Estuary in Gwynedd.It mixes Italianate architecture with colorful, whimsical designs. Think Mediterranean village meets fairy tale.It’s best known for being the filming location of the 1960s cult classic TV series “The Prisoner” starring Patrick McGoohan.(8 of 27)
