Well, my day started badly- really been battling the <a href="https://bne.social/tags/TrigeminalNeuralgia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TrigeminalNeuralgia</a> lately, and had a <a href="https://bne.social/tags/Migraine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Migraine</a> on top this morning. But I made it to Art Therapy, and even though the usual person wasn’t taking the class, it was good to catch up with some friends, and the work we dd in class was helpful. And when I got home my birthday present I ordered for myself from Finland had arrived! I might have to wear these fabulous guillotine earrings tomorrow. Thanks to <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/@sinituulia" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@sinituulia</a> who inspired me to get them - I love them!

Will 🏳️‍🌈From a recent visit to an ENT (ear, nose, throat) physician, it appears I have a painful condition known as trigeminal neuralgia aka tic douloureux. It is resulting in it being very painful to eat, drink, swallow, brush teeth, smile, sleep, and even breathe sometimes, and has been intense for a few weeks now.And a first-line treatment (the drug Trileptal, -- oxcarbazepine) that I am taking for a mental health condition could instead be doing the opposite reaction and exacerbating the condition.Does anyone have any stories you can share about the condition and possibly treatment that worked for you or someone you know? SingsongRaptorIt's been raining, snowing & sleeting for like three days straight. My joints hurt so bad. Sour weather & cold air trigger my trigeminal neuralgia too. My face burns like a cut with lemon juice & peroxide & my teeth hurt like they're being drilled 😩 I haven't been able to eat all day cuz of my face & teeth hurting. WonderdogThis facial nerve pain (pretty sure it is <a href="https://bne.social/tags/TrigeminalNeuralgia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TrigeminalNeuralgia</a> as the GP suggested and has referred me to the neurologist to look at) has been horrible the last few days. Well, most of this week. Today it's been awful. Even the fan blowing near me is sparking ZING ZING ZING and then persistent pain from my left lower jaw right through all that side's teeth, up through my cheek, across to my temple, into my eye, across my forehead, down my nose. And my ear aches. Washing my face or brushing my teeth hurts. Forget about chewing on that side. Or lying on that side. Sometimes my glasses are too much (and I can't see without them.) It's tiring. You really don't need to comment on this. I wanted to let you know why I haven't been saying much. Thanks, Pocket Friends, for being here. 💜💜💜

To that end I was 'rescued' by my forbears in the shape of the 200+ love letters they left behind - so I turned them into the <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/podcast" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#podcast</a> 'My Love Letter Time Machine' and now spend large chunks of my life in the 1880s. 1ngiSo I had a horror of a morning, got myself off to the jabberwockies and have now been jabinated twice (flu/covid). Popped into the coop, looking forward to a nice sit down and a coffee. Some fecker had allowed their dog to crap in front of my gate, which i did not see until I had walked it into the house. Next half hour spent scrubbing floors, shoes, mats. <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/TrigeminalNeuralgia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TrigeminalNeuralgia</a> flared, right eye streaming while I was trying to sort stuff, and then of course I had a cry.
