Vinz FrankLast Friday i tried to capture the Whirlpool Galaxy M51📸<br> <br> 🌌The Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) is a spiral galaxy located about 23 million light-years away in Canes Venatici. It spans approximately 60,000 light-years and features prominent spiral arms with active star formation. M51 is interacting with the smaller galaxy NGC 5195, creating stunning tidal features that enhance its visual appeal.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Astrophotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Astrophotography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/GalaxyPhotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GalaxyPhotography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/WhirlpoolGalaxy?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#WhirlpoolGalaxy</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/NightSky?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NightSky</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Stargazing?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Stargazing</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/SpacePhotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SpacePhotography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/CosmicWonder?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CosmicWonder</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/AstronomyLovers?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AstronomyLovers</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/CelestialBeauty?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CelestialBeauty</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DeepSpace?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DeepSpace</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Deepsky?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Deepsky</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/AstroPic?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AstroPic</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/SkyWatchers?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SkyWatchers</a>

Sternwarte Vach (Andy)<p>Excellent! I had a wonderful night and was able to gather starlight for 4 hours. The result is very nice. Natalie Davis 🇺🇸🇵🇹🇺🇦<p>Breathtaking.</p><p>"James Webb telescope captures clearest-ever image of Whirlpool galaxy</p><p>(...) This mesmerising picture...is a composite image from the telescope’s NIRCam and MIRI instruments. Both devices are built to capture the distant universe by decoding infrared light signals emanating from faraway stars and galaxies. The end result is the Whirlpool galaxy in never-seen-before detail. </p><p>The dark red regions trace the filamentary warm dust permeating the medium of the galaxy. The red regions show the reprocessed light from complex molecules forming on dust grains, while colours of orange and yellow reveal the regions of ionised gas by the recently formed star clusters.</p><p>🔗: <a href="https://thenextweb.com/news/james-webb-telescope-whirlpool-galaxy" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">thenextweb.com/news/james-webb</span><span class="invisible">-telescope-whirlpool-galaxy</span></a></p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/galaxy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>galaxy</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/WhirlpoolGalaxy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WhirlpoolGalaxy</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/M51" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>M51</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/JWST" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JWST</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/astronomy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>astronomy</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/space" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>space</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Science" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Science</span></a></p>
