Part of the former McCorquodales Print Works on Maxwell Street in central Glasgow. Built in the 1860s, this B-listed building in a conservation area has lain unused and poorly maintained for many years. There is now a proposal to demolish it and replace it with a rather generic multistorey building. There is a deadline of this afternoon for objections. If you live in Glasgow, you can find out how to object here: https://www.pauljsweeney.com/post/planning-objection-to-the-demolition-of-listed-fa%C3%A7ade-at-86-90-maxwell-street-40-fox-street-glasg.

The four oldest of Glasgow's thirteen Tontine Heads. Sculpted by David and James Cation between 1737 and 1742, they originally adorned keystones of arches in Allan Dreghorn's Town Hall at Glasgow Cross. For some reason, the top left one always reminds me of Robbie Coltrane as Danny in the 1980s TV series Tutti Frutti. I think it's the hair.
The former Western Club on Buchanan Street in Glasgow. Designed in an Italianate Palazzo style by D. and J. Hamilton, it was built in 1841. Starting out as the Badger Club in 1825, it was a gentlemen's club which aimed was to provide high quality, but cheap, wine and food for its members. It moved to these new purpose-built premises in 1842.
