Cédric Delalande :ruby:<p>Anyone using <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/dape" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dape</span></a> with <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/ruby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ruby</span></a> ? I am currently debugging a quite large and messy codebase, and I had to resort to Jetbrains <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/rubymine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rubymine</span></a> to get a powerful debugger with visual breakpoints (which is much faster than dropping `debugger` statements everywhere). Rubymine is cool, but I'd like to stay in Emacs for that.</p><p>Dape just does not work, and the README basically says : "you can use it for ruby". That's it. </p><p>But I can't figure out how it works. <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emacs</span></a> <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/help" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>help</span></a></p>
Len :tootsie: 🍉<p>11 more days to fulfill my last year resolution - to use <a href="https://toot.si/tags/Emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Emacs</span></a> as IDE for <a href="https://toot.si/tags/Drupal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Drupal</span></a> development. What's been holding me back is the debugger (<a href="https://toot.si/tags/xdebug" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>xdebug</span></a>). I know about three packages <a href="https://toot.si/tags/geben" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>geben</span></a>, <a href="https://toot.si/tags/dap" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dap</span></a> and <a href="https://toot.si/tags/dape" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dape</span></a>, but I don't know which to choose. Would you recommend me one? I'm a bit hesitant to use nodejs based solution, but only a bit. ⌨️ 💻 <br>Anyone uses any of these tools?</p>
