@NullTheFool l and j are my initials of my boy- and girlmode names respectively, r the second initial of my assigned name and k of my family name. I also use ElleJay as a name which is just lj spelt differently. Within games, I either use Forch Gock, which is a pun on the German military ship with the initial letters swapped making it a pun on g(irlc)ock, or General Protection Fault, which is also a pun on the military title General and the error message that results from accessing invalid memory.

EthicalRevolution is the name of the project I’ve been running since 2013. It began as a website which was sort of a ‘Money Saving Expert’ specifically for more ethical goods and services.

It came about when I started making big changes in my own life, thinking more about the impacts of my daily transactions. I was trying to do everything with sustainability in mind.

The trouble I faced was that the more ethical stuff tended to always cost a lot more than mainstream alternatives and I have never earned much money (a story for another time) so it was difficult to achieve.

I would scour for hours to find the cheapest places to get said ethical goods/services when I needed them. I lamented the fact there was no way of doing this other than performing multiple searches and going to multiple websites to find the best option and so I set up a website where anyone could search for anything and find links to good deals to bring down the cost of ethical purchasing.

It was the first website of its kind at the time.

In the years that ensued sustainability has become a more prominent issue and moved more in to mainstream thinking, which is of course a very positive thing. As such there are now loads of websites that do what EthicalRevolution once did and so my site has since undergone its own little revolution and is now set up as a 26 step challenge (from A-Z) that anyone can take to try to create a better world for themselves and their surroundings. 👇

Superball was a “temporary” Playa name bestowed upon me by a friend, the one year I went to Burning Man—because, like the ball, I was colorful and unpredictable. Also I inadvertently broke things. I still unpredictably bounce around here and there and break things (but no longer dye my hair bright colors or dress as flashy, as I’ve transitioned from space pixie to woods witch—albeit one who is still All The Colors in spirit).

#ExplainYourUsername I'm a forester. I used to work in a toxic workplace. I left to improve life balance and set up a forest croft and mobile sawmill business. It's a play on words based on the idiom 'Can't see the wood for the trees' - I 'saw the wood from the trees' and made the change. And I saw wood

Oh, and Cuilfail is a place that is very important to me and mine

“MOULE” has multiple meanings:

1: An alternate spelling of "mule", a hybrid work animal, symbolising my work ethic and making music that's stubbornly hybrid.

2: The word alphabetically after "MOULD" symbolising me being "outside-the-mould", disinterested in fitting in harmful and restrictive "norms".

I always write it in caps since it looks more aesthetically pleasing to me that way. The extra "O" conveniently allows me to stick a mule's head out of it as my logo! :Logo:

I needed a name for a Spoonflower account from which I could potentially sell fabric designs (couldn't use visculamia which used to be my go to name because it was the name of a character in the Efteling, a Dutch themepark). I like bumblebees so I picked that and added dc for Dolls/Designs (&) Clothing. I like to make clothes for baby Born dolls so that way I could use the name for a webshop of clothes as well. Of course neither ventures panned out but the name stuck ☺️

At some point, me and my dad were quoting a specific line from the second episode of Red Dwarf, where Arnold Rimmer insults Holly with a made up word. Holly, the supercomputer who's projecting a hologram of Rimmer gives him a ridiculous haircut as payback, then disappears to pilot the ship at lightspeed, leaving a recorded message for when Rimmer finds out.

After recreating that scene many times, we found that we started using "Goit" alot more, as a casual way of poking fun at each other. Eventually we were told to stop by my stepmum, but the influence stayed with me as I started using it as a part of my online alias.
