Carl von Lesquereux<p>I have this odd issue with my laptop where whenever I play music using "traditional" apps like <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Lollypop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lollypop</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Pragha" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pragha</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/StrawberryPlayer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StrawberryPlayer</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Rythmbox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Rythmbox</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/QuodLibet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>QuodLibet</span></a> or <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Exaile" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Exaile</span></a>, it pauses at random times for a few seconds, like if the music is buffering or something.</p><p>Interestingly, it doesn't happen with <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/mpd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mpd</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Monophony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Monophony</span></a> or through <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Firefox</span></a>. And it has happened with every distro I used with this laptop (<a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/EndeavourOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EndeavourOS</span></a>).</p><p>I suspect is related to <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/pipewire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pipewire</span></a>-pulse, but I'm not sure.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a></p>
