Gelegentlich spielt bei #HomeAssistant ja ein #Sensor einen Streich und es wird ein unrealistischer Wert (#Ausreißer) erfasst. Bei den #Energie #Entitäten ist die Korrektur im #Datenrecorder kein Problem. Allerdings habe ich bei einer #Ikea #Inspelning #Steckdose einige kurze Ausreißer in der Leistung. siehe Screenhot. Das versaut das gesamte #Diagramm für min, max und ⌀. Da man durch die extremen Ausreißer eigentlich nichts mehr erkennen kann.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, diese falschen #Leistungswerte zu korrigieren?

Shine on you crazy Diamond Quantum Magnetic Sensor.

We’re probably all familiar with the Hall Effect, at least to the extent that it can be used to make solid-state sensors for magnetic fields. It’s a cool bit of applied physics, but there are other ways to sense magnetic fields, including leveraging the weird world of #quantum #physics with this #diamond, #laser & #microwave open-source #sensor.

[ImageSource: Quantum Village] Building a practical version of this quantum sensor isn’t as difficult as it sounds. The trickiest part seems to be building the diamond assembly, which has the N-V diamond [about the size of a grain of sand and actually not that expensive] potted in clear epoxy along with a loop of copper wire for the microwave antenna, a photodiode and a small fleck of red filter material. The electronics primarily consist of an ADF4531 phase-locked loop RF signal generator and a 40-dB RF amplifier to generate the microwave signals, a green laser diode module and an ESP32 dev board. <https://quantumvillage.org/> All the design files and firmware have been open-sourced, and everything about the build seems quite approachable. The write-up emphasizes Quantum Village’s desire to make this quantum technology’s [Apple II moment], which we heartily endorse. I’ve seen N-V sensors detailed before, but this project might make it easier to play with quantum physics at home.

Got it to post on my #mqqt server yesterday the way I want.
It has a local webserver you can access via its AP mode. Shuts down after a little while automatically. Does updates of its firmware. You can run it without cloud.
Nice for measuring the temperature of the attic. Runs on 4 batteries or usb-c

It has taken me about 12 minutes to cool down and 18650 battery which was heating up that it was almost too warm to the touch. The battery was in the charger which clearly doesn't properly communicate with the BMS, creating a fairly dangerous situation
The battery in someone else's hand could have spontaneously combusted into flames igniting the charger and then the wood of the table it was standing on.
I have a habit of standing up, way in the depths of the night, either because I want to go training on my race machines, or because I want to physically feel how warm the batteries are that I'm charging.

Today I'm very glad that I routinely do this, because the BMS failed, a temperature sensor is obviously absent in the charger, and the chemicals would have potentially created a runaway situation because the battery was running this hot for at least a couple of hours!

The 18650 cell delivers the energy that is needed just fine it just cannot charge to 100% anymore

Of course I have marked the cell, so I can now manually remove it from the charger
