For #ThrowBackThursday it's the 1970s and this is the back of the house I grew up in with me apparently learning to ride a bike given the stabilisers on this very swanky Raleigh Budgie.

Scan of a square format, colour photo from the 1970s. It's a bright day. We're in the back garden of a house looking towards the pale bricks of the back of the house across some grass with a concrete path along the very left of view and just in front of the house itself. Three concrete steps lead up to the yellow back door which is open inwards to a kitchen. To the right there is a window with two vertical rectangular panes of glass, the leftmost one further split with a small opening at the top. There are net curtains in the window. There are two young boys in front of the house to the right of the step. One stands topless, hands on his trousers as if to pull them up. The other boy is wearing light blue jeans or trousers and a white t-shirt and he's standing on the pedals of a bike with stabilisers. The bike has a thinner front tyre than the rear, although both are similarly-sized, and the seat has a short backrest and handle on it, raised some way up from the lowered blue-green frame.
