Ik zeg al lange tijd dat die hele uitbreiding van #ASML een onzalig plan is. Er is nu al een huizentekort, een tekort aan arbeidskrachten een infra-infarct, een #netcongestie-probleem en dan ga je iets doen dat het alleen maar erger maakt, alleen maar omdat het zogenaamd goed is voor de economie.
I wonder if it's time for the Dutch government to tell #ASML that the US is joining the list of states sanctioned from enjoying the cutting edge of IC fab.
"You want to be great again? Go ahead. Do that. Make your own fab."

#ASML ist derzeit der einzig relevante Hersteller von EUV-Lithographiesystemen. Diese Maschinen wiederum bestehen zum überwiegenden Teil aus Komponenten, die ebenfalls aus der EU oder der Schweiz stammen. Der Technologie-Vorsprung auf kritische Optik-Komponenten (u.a. von #CarlZeissSMT)...

In 2004, na 18 jaar keihard weken als ondersteuner van de vakgroep DeeltjesOptica (*) aan de TU Delft, wilde PZ, "out of the blue", een "carriëregesprek" voeren met mij.
(*) Veel afgestudeerden, gepromoveerden en zelfs de eerste prof die mij aannam, zijn bij ASML gaan werken.
Nee niet PZ zelf, daar hadden ze KPMG voor ingehuurd. Dit was ca. een half jaar nadat een gang in het gebouw Technische Natuurkunde met veel geld was opgeknapt en er allerlei "managers" op luxe meubilair in voormalige lab-kamers hadden plaatsgenomen.
Ik heb het niet afgewacht en vond snel elders een baan.
