Seems like #MikeJohnson is going to become #SpeakerOfTheHouse. This entire time, the Republican anti establishment movement seemed divided between whether they cared more about being hardcore conservative or making the process more transparent and accountable to voters. Is there an agreed upon list of all the demands that the Republican holdouts were able to secure for their #SpeakerVote published somewhere? I guess the rules vote is Monday. Please stop the blame game and accept that #ForceTheVote would have been a good idea.
I supported #ForceTheVote in challenging @SpeakerPelosi@twitter.com years ago, so I'm actually sympathetic to the rebel Republicans re #SpeakerVote. The problem now is we don't know what the negotiations are really about, so we can't judge who's focused on the public interest vs themselves.
If I'm a Democrat in the House, @GOPLeader@twitter.com could probably get my vote with a #MedicareForAll floor vote. Or maybe even just move the age of eligibility to 50. #ForceTheVote
