The #Pope chose #Francis of Assisi as his namesake, who put the vow of #poverty at the heart of #franciscan order. Very unlike other residents of the #Vatican. He was routinely accused of #wokeness for pointing the finger at the corrupting power of money and for embodying #compassion for all people (incl. #LGBTQ & #indigenous leaders) & #nature (#LaudatoSi).
