The change announced by Leavitt breaks decades of precedent. The White House Correspondents’ Association, a group representing #journalists who cover the admin, has long determined on its own which #reporters would participate in the pool.

Because presidents often hold events in smaller settings like the Oval Office, where not every reporter who covers #POTUS can fit, the #press pool format has long been used to ensure that journalists accurately record a president’s comments.

Reporters - just got emails from a credit building firm named Chime claiming someone logged into my account. I have no Chime account. I tried resetting a password on that site and there wasn’t a standard password reset, but a “consent to receive emails and texts” prompt. Looks like post CFPB chaos scamming. #CFPB #scam #reporters
