Does higher price really mean a better tripod?
Let's see what happens to these two carbon fibre tripods when I play with them in the ice and snow.
In case anyone in the #photography community is looking for Adobe Lightroom alternatives (because screw Adobe and subscription!), I am enjoying DXO Photolab 8 so far.
I had issues with version 7's denoise - it would give random artifacts when denoising sky and star shots - but I decided to try and reprocess my shot of the Milky Way from a plane and wow, I'm impressed by Photolab 8!

I've been terrible at keeping my blog up-to-date, but having promised some of you I would set down how I planned and shot the #MilkyWay during a flight, I've finally managed to pen my #photography #tutorial of sorts setting out my processes.
Beware: it's rather longer than I expected it to be. But hopefully it gives you lots of helpful tips!
After around 2 weeks later, I finally managed to edit a photo I shot of the #MilkyWay whilst on a flight. Despite being an avid aurora shooter, this is rather surprisingly the first shot I've ever planned to shoot of the Milky Way!

I love the British Airways x White Company toiletries kit you get from BA Club World flights. I always like to repurpose these toiletries pouches, and one of my favourite regular re-uses of the pouch is to use it as a pencil case.
