My art collective's mobile museum has been at York College for two months, where it served as an activity station and zine display for "Roving Reverie" (our participatory art project event).

The bronze statue of Major Alida Bosshardt stands, or better yet… sits, on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal, in front of the “Salvation Army” building. Made by artist Peter de Leeuwe in 2013 as a tribute to her years of service to the vulnerable. 🙏😊

Born on June 8, 1913, in Utrecht, and passing on June 25, 2007, in Amsterdam, Bosshardt was a key “Salvation Army” figure. During WWII, she helped Jewish children and later supported sex workers and the homeless in the Red Light District. 🏮

Her efforts earned national recognition, including the title ‘Righteous Among the Nations’ from “Yad Vashem” in 2004. 🎖️

Memorial to John Stewart who founded the City of Glasgow Friendly Society in 1862. This sculpture, on the city's Douglas Street, is by William Kellock Brown. The aim of the City of Glasgow Friendly Society was to 'enable members of the industrial classes to arrange with one another for mutual aid during sickness or on the arrival of old age'.

A National Cycle Networt Millennium Mile Post on the Clyde Walkway in Glasgow. Erected in 2000, this is one of four post designs. It was created by Andrew Rowe, and is based upon the nautical and industrial heritage of his native Swansea. A programme to repaint as many of the mile posts as possible began in 2021, with each one being painted in its own unique way.
