In case folks were unaware, much of the voice acting for those was done in Canada.

And this year is the 60th anniversary of the first broadcast of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer!

That one was recorded by a team of well known Canadian CBC voice actors in Toronto. (Singer Burl Ives as the narrator snowman was the exception.). The stop-motion animation was done in Japan.

Paul Soles who voiced Hermey the elf is also known as the voice of Spider-Man from the 1960s cartoons.

There was a CBC television retrospective from the 50th anniversary. The voice actors attributed the Rudolph special’s enduring appeal to its messages about bullying and acknowledgement of the experiences of outcasts.

"Run Rudolph Run" is a #ChristmasSong written by #ChuckBerry but credited to #JohnnyMarks and M. Brodie due to Marks's trademark on the character of #RudolphTheRedNosedReindeer. It was published by St. Nicholas Music (#ASCAP) and was first recorded by Berry in 1958, released as a single on #ChessRecords. It has since been covered by numerous other artists, sometimes with the title "Run Run Rudolph".

"Frosty the Snowman" is a popular winter song written by #WalterJackRollins and #SteveNelson, and first recorded by #GeneAutry and the #CassCountyBoys in 1950 and later recorded by #JimmyDurante in that year. It was written after the success of Autry's recording of "#RudolphTheRedNosedReindeer" the previous year. Rollins and Nelson shopped the new song to Autry, who recorded "Frosty" in search of another seasonal hit. Like "Rudolph".

Did you know that some of the most famous Christmas songs were written by Jewish creators? 🎶✨ That’s right! Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was written by Johnny Marks, a Jewish songwriter who also gave us Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree and A Holly Jolly Christmas!

And who can forget Irving Berlin, who gifted the world White Christmas, one of the best-selling songs of all time!

It’s a heartwarming reminder that music has a way of bringing us all together, regardless of background. These timeless tunes are proof that the holiday spirit is universal. ❤️🎄
