Bernal Heights, from Billy Goat Hill. 30 seconds. Taken into 2009.

This was my first time shooting in the blue hour... which was something, honestly, I grew tired of doing within a few months. Things were too blue for my eyes. But the views from Billy Goat Hill are just too good to pass up, so I'm happy to share this with you.

(For those who know us personally, we live a few blocks from here... just to the left and a little lower down.)

A cityscape view taken just after sunset, of 30th Street and Bernal Hill, south of San Francisco's downtown. There are some short light trails from cars on 30th Street. A bit of San Francisco Bay shows in the distance... and a little bit of Oakland as well. The whole scene is royal blue, with amber street lights hands a little bit of green lighting up the Upper Noe Valley playground on the left.
